It is no wonder that OAaSIS International Foundation is now on board with “I am the Change”.

The merge will result in  projects and avenues through which more practical things can get done to change the outlook on Jamaica and by Jamaicans. OAaSIS Foundation is committed to networking artists and artistes in using their skills to develop the creative power of Jamaica’s youth and artists everywhere.

OAaSIS like the “I am the Change” began independent of any government, and to motivate Jamaicans into action and overcoming the Government-dependancy syndrome. “I am the Change” group originated on Facebook with Winston “Bello” Bell.

Jamaican personality “Bello” is known for his role in the comedy duo “Bello and Blacka.” The actor is also founding pastor of Time out for Jesus Ministries, where he never acts, and says the “I am the Change” is not about pushing God, but change, love and improvement in Jamaica. His acting roles have included TV series such as ABC’s All My Children, among other drama series. One project to be continued in partnership with the “I am the Change” is creating or empowering already exisiting creative departments in schools and communities.

Two main projects of the ”I am the Change”  is the upcoming “Run-A-Boat” tour and rallying for civics in schools. The tour will see group members “running boats” in raw Jamaican living and one-to-one interaction within communities islandwide. A travelling kitchen already dedicated will provide meals, while members will play, discuss, motivate and make plans on executing projects for improving Jamaica and lifetyles bit-by-bit.

The group will also rally for the return of the Civics course in schools as one way of empowering Jamaicans on who they are in all ways conceivable.
